Leviticus - Burial

Resident Advisor just released a video on the history of Leviticus - Burial. It ties into the 30-year anniversary of the tune which has had the samples re-recorded and a rerelease on 0207 Def Jam. Listen here.

The original tune by Jumpin Jack Frost came out in 1994 on V Recordings sub-label Philly Blunt. V Recordings has been co-owned by Jumpin Jack Frost and Bryan Gee since the label launched in 1993. With co-production duties by the mighty Dillinja, Burial is a certified classic dance record.

In 1995 the record was picked up by FFRR/London Records which gave it a bigger-than-usual release for DnB at the time. In 2023 the tune was remastered for a release on V Recordings. So all in all, not counting any of the remixes over time, a good, solid four releases for this Jungle stepper.
